John Hughes is one of Perth's best-known automotive names, with a multi-brand dealership network in Victoria Park. Our Fleet Department looks after business clients across vehicle purchasing, leasing, finance and servicing.

We're offering a Fleet Sales Cadet role for someone driven, curious and ready to learn. You'll be trained in how fleet really works inside a dealership, then start winning new business clients with direct support from our Business Development Manager.

Your training program

1. Dealership operations: learn how fleet connects with current car sales, ordering, logistics, pre-delivery, service, parts and finance
2. Fleet fundamentals: vehicle ordering and tracking, manufacturer fleet programs, leasing and novated structures, and whole-of-life costs
3. Systems and process: quoting, CRM, deal paperwork and handover, done properly from day one
4. New client acquisition: prospecting, first meetings and proposals, working alongside the BDM before building your own pipeline
5. Growing independence: manage your own new accounts with ongoing coaching and regular performance reviews

What you'll do





- Research and approach businesses that run vehicles, and book introductory meetings
- Support the BDM on proposals, presentations and client meetings
- Prepare quotes and help coordinate orders through to delivery
- Keep client records and activity up to date in the CRM
- Learn every part of the dealership that touches a fleet customer

What you'll bring

- A genuine interest in sales, business and the automotive industry
- Confidence picking up the phone and talking to business owners
- Strong communication skills and a professional presentation
- Organised, reliable and keen to learn
- Customer service, retail or sales experience is a plus – fleet experience is not required
- Current WA driver's licence
