Serin Towing & Recovery pty ltd Keys Responsibility: Plan, organise and control the acquisition and procurement of fleet vehicles and specialised transport equipment, assessing operational requirements, vehicle specifications, capacity and suitability for Serin Towing & Recovery’s towing, recovery and transport operations. Develop and oversee preventative maintenance, servicing and repair programs for trucks, tilt trays, recovery vehicles and associated fleet equipment to maintain reliability, safety and operational availability. Manage and coordinate vehicle leasing arrangements, including assessing fleet requirements, liaising with leasing providers, negotiating appropriate arrangements and monitoring lease terms, costs, renewals and vehicle return obligations.

Evaluate the age, condition, utilisation, maintenance history and operating costs of fleet vehicles to determine appropriate lifecycle strategies, including retention, replacement, upgrade or disposal. Organise and control the replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles, including coordinating valuations, trade-ins, sales and replacement purchases in accordance with operational requirements and business objectives. Liaise and negotiate with vehicle dealerships, manufacturers, equipment suppliers, leasing providers, insurers and repair/service providers regarding fleet purchases, vehicle specifications, leasing, servicing and replacement requirements.

Monitor fleet utilisation and performance to identify requirements for additional vehicles, replacement vehicles or specialised equipment based on operational demand and fleet capacity. Maintain comprehensive records covering vehicle purchases, ownership,



leasing arrangements, maintenance history, servicing, repairs, fuel usage, operating expenditure and disposal history, and prepare fleet performance and cost reports for management. Develop and monitor fleet budgets and operating costs, including expenditure associated with vehicle acquisition, leasing, fuel, servicing, repairs, insurance and replacement, to support cost-effective fleet management decisions.

Ensure all fleet vehicles and equipment are appropriately maintained, insured, registered and operationally compliant, and that fleet-management activities meet applicable work health and safety and road transport requirements.
