Romolo is looking for an experienced Assistant Café Manager to help lead our busy café in Sydney's iconic Strand Arcade. You will support the Café Manager with daily operations, lead shifts and confidently run the café in the manager's absence, and work alongside the team on the floor during busy service.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting the Café Manager with daily operations
- Leading shifts and confidently running the café in the manager's absence
- Working alongside the team on the floor during busy service
- Training and motivating staff to deliver warm, efficient service
- Assisting with rosters, stock control, ordering and cash reconciliation
- Maintaining high standards of presentation,
cleanliness and food safety
- Supporting sales and helping grow our takeaway and catering business

- Robust leadership, communication and organisational skills
- A friendly, professional approach and a calm head under pressure
- A practical attitude—you're happy to jump in wherever needed
- Good coffee knowledge; barista skills are highly regarded
- Reliable, proactive and passionate about hospitality
