Who we are

L'épi is a locally owned French artisan bakery group with five shops across Canberra. Everything is baked by hand every morning: sourdough, viennoiserie, pastries and cakes. We proudly serve ONA Coffee in all our shops.

We're hiring front-of-house team members for three of our shops: L'épi Chisholm, L'épi Kambah and L'épi Yarralumla.

The role

You'll be the face of the bakery. Our regulars come in for the bread, but they come back for the welcome. You'll serve customers, look after the cabinets and displays, and make sure everyone leaves a little better than when they arrived.

We're looking for people with 2–5 days per week of availability, casual roles.

What you'll do

- Greet every customer warmly and first, before they have to get your attention.
- Serve quickly and accurately at the counter and coffee station.
- Learn the range well enough to suggest the right thing to the right customer.
- Keep cabinet, cake, pie and bread displays at our standard all day.
- Keep the shop clean, organised and stocked during service.
- Follow our hygiene, allergen and safety routines every time.

What we're looking for

- You're naturally warm and enjoy people.
- You can move fast without losing accuracy.
- You take feedback well and want to get better.
- You're reliable, punctual and a good teammate.




- You notice when something isn't clean or presented properly, and you fix it.
- Our shops open early, so you'll need to be comfortable with shifts starting at 6am.
