About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Handyman / Maintenance Technician to support maintenance and repair works across multiple residential and managed properties.

The role involves attending different locations and completing a wide range of general maintenance, repair, adjustment and installation tasks. The successful applicant must be comfortable travelling between properties and working independently.

Key Skills & Experience Required

- Previous experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Technician or Property Maintenance Worker
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence – mandatory
- Comfortable driving to and working across multiple locations
- General carpentry and property maintenance experience
- Experience repairing and installing doors, sliding doors and window hardware
- Experience with flyscreens, blinds and window fittings
- Cabinet, cupboard and drawer repairs
- Experience with wall, ceiling and hole repairs
- Ability to install anchors, brackets and fittings
- General plumbing and bathroom maintenance skills
- General electrical maintenance experience
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Good knowledge of tools and safe work practices
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs
- Good communication and professional presentation

Typical Maintenance Tasks The successful candidate may be required to carry out tasks such as:
- Repairing or replacing flyscreens
- Repairing kitchen cabinets and water-damaged cabinetry
- Repairing or closing holes associated with air-conditioning installations
- Repairing drawers and replacing drawer mechanisms
- Adjusting and repairing large/heavy sliding doors
- Repairing and reinstalling blinds
- Repairing ceiling holes and creating suitable anchor points for blinds
- Repairing cupboard and kitchen doors
- Adjusting doors that scrape, stick or do not close correctly
- Installing and replacing door hardware
- General wall,



ceiling and surface repairs
- Repairing and fitting cabinets to existing positions
- General bathroom hardware repairs and replacement
- Installing shower fittings and mounts where appropriate
- General property maintenance and preventative repairs

These tasks reflect the types of maintenance works identified across the properties, including sliding-door repairs, blinds, cabinetry, drawers, cupboards, ceiling repairs and bathroom hardware. Electrical & Plumbing Experience

General electrical and plumbing experience is highly desirable.

The applicant should be able to identify common faults and undertake appropriate general maintenance within their qualifications and licence requirements.

Any work that legally requires a licensed electrician, plumber, glazier or other licensed tradesperson must be referred to or completed by the appropriately licensed trade.

- Strong carpentry and repair skills
- Own basic tools is an advantage
- Ability to provide clear job updates and report additional works required
- Reliable, punctual and skilled
- Comfortable working independently

What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is multi-skilled, practical and solution-focused.

You should be confident assessing a maintenance issue, determining what is required, completing suitable repairs where you are qualified to do so, and identifying when a licensed tradesperson is required.
