Portfolio Fund Manager

Perth | Full-time | Office-based | Salary is negotiable depending on EXP

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Portfolio Fund Manager to join an Australian investment and alternative asset management business specialising in private credit and real estate investment. This is a key role within a small, highly skilled team, working closely with the CFO and CEO across portfolio management, fund operations, treasury, investor reporting and capital management.

The role would suit someone with a strong background in structured lending, funds management, commercial finance or property finance, who is looking to take ownership of a sophisticated property-backed portfolio.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for the ongoing financial and portfolio management of a private credit loan book, including:

- Managing portfolio construction, performance and ongoing fund operations
- Overseeing loan drawdowns, settlements, discharges and treasury requirements
- Preparing investor, Board and executive reporting
- Building sophisticated financial models, cash flow forecasts and scenario analysis
- Monitoring covenants, credit limits, risk exposure and emerging portfolio risks
- Working across property development and construction loans, including progress draws and QS reporting
- Reviewing development feasibilities and cost-to-complete assessments
- Working closely with borrowers, brokers, credit, legal and finance teams
- Supporting capital allocation and investor capital requirements
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the business's proprietary loan and capital management platform

About You You will ideally bring:





- 10+ years' experience across structured lending, investment management, commercial finance, funds management or a related environment
- Direct exposure to property development and/or property finance
- Strong understanding of the property development lifecycle, including site finance, construction, subdivision and exit
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
- Experience with loan or portfolio management, including drawdowns, covenant monitoring and fund reporting
- Robust financial analysis and executive reporting skills
- Commercial acumen with excellent attention to detail
- Experience within an AFSL / ASIC reporting environment
- A tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Commerce or a related discipline

Experience across private credit, non-bank lending, alternative investments, wholesale investors or construction finance will be highly regarded. Why Consider It?
