CatholicCare Tasmania has a long-term commitment to respond to Family Violence in Tasmania and we are looking for an equally committed person to join our Safe Choices Team in Tasmania in the position of Case Manager.
Based in Launceston Tasmania – 3 days per week, contracted to 30/06/2027 due to funding.
About the Role:
The role will provide case work including case planning, outreach, advocacy and referrals to those Safe Choices clients experiencing family violence who may require on-going support.
This role will report directly to the regional Team Leader and Program Manager of Safe Choices.
What you bring to the role:
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or other relevant discipline with experience in responding to Family Violence
Demonstrated high level skills, knowledge and expertise appropriate to the provision of support to all people experiencing Domestic and Family Violence.
Hold a current Working with Vulnerable Persons Registration, satisfactory national police check, and a current driver's licence

Selection Criteria
1. Demonstrated experience in service coordination and the application of case management principles and practice, including experience and understanding of risk and needs assessment frameworks and applications and managing a case load.
2. Demonstrated understanding of the needs of women and children escaping from Domestic and Family violence, including current legislation and knowledge of local, state and interstate support options and services.
3. Demonstrated analytical, verbal and written communication skills including report writing and maintaining case files
4. Demonstrated experience in exercising considerable initiative, discretion and professional judgement and accept personal responsibility within the full scope of the role
5. Proven ability to work within a team environment and network effectively, including resourcefulness and organisation skills.
