Prefer being on your feet and doing practical work rather than sitting behind a desk?
Kelmatt Industries is a proudly Australian-made manufacturer in Scoresby, and we're looking for a dependable person to join our factory team as we head into a busy production period.
This isn't a pick-and-pack warehouse position.
It's a varied manufacturing role involving practical factory work, materials, machinery and production. You'll be trained across different areas and expected to pitch in wherever the production team needs you.
A typical day could involve:
- Moving and organising materials within the factory
- Assisting across all areas of production as required
- Collating components and materials for production
- Loading and unloading materials and finished goods
- Packing and checking completed products
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
- Helping the team complete daily production priorities
- Learning to operate production machinery once trained and ready
You'll suit us if you:
- Have recent experience in a factory, manufacturing, production, fabrication, trades-assistant or similar hands-on environment
- Are comfortable with physical work, including moving materials, loading and unloading, and being on your feet throughout the day
- Are willing to assist across different areas of production rather than expecting one fixed task
- Don't mind repetitive work when a production run requires it
- Work at a good, consistent pace and stay productive throughout the day
- Can follow instructions and learn new processes
- Take pride in doing the job properly and care about the quality of your work
- Are dependable and punctual — if you're rostered to work, we need to know you'll be there
- Want reliable, ongoing employment rather than a short-term stop
- Can reliably get to our Scoresby factory Monday-Friday
- Are willing to learn additional production skills and machinery as you gain experience
We provide training on our machinery, products and manufacturing processes. If you're used to practical work and want a stable role with an established Australian manufacturer, send us your resume and tell us briefly about your recent hands-on work experience.
Please only apply if you can reliably travel to Scoresby for a 7:00am or 8:00am start Monday to Friday.
