There to care. Here for good.

Aged care is so important. Some people forget that. You don't and neither do we. Because helping people is what we were born to do. We've been a leading provider of aged care in communities across South Australia since 1953. That's a long journey, and we're proud of our stability and strength.

Now, we're on a mission to continue to grow and improve our services and impact, hand in hand with our fantastic team. Here, every moment matters and every client counts. And so do you

Join us as Head of Home Care Operations and lead the next phase of our home care portfolio supporting more than 2,500 clients across metropolitan and regional South Australia.

A brighter future with Helping Hand, for older people and for you.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible senior leadership role with one of South Australia's most trusted aged care providers. As our Head of Home Care Operations, you'll lead Helping Hand's home care portfolio across metropolitan and regional South Australia, supporting high-quality, safe, client-centred, compliant and financially sustainable services.

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer and working as part of the Operations Leadership Team, you'll lead senior leaders across care management, customer engagement, clinical and non-clinical care and services, and quality and excellence.

You'll translate strategy into action, lead the portfolio to adapt to aged care reform and strengthen the reliability and scalability of home care services. Your leadership will improve client outcomes, workforce capability, productivity, financial sustainability and growth.

In this role, you'll make an impact by:

- Leading an integrated home care operating model that connects intake, care management scheduling, service delivery and operational support to improve client outcomes, service reliability and performance.
- Translating organisational strategy and COO priorities into clear portfolio plans with defined outcomes, measures and accountability, while leading excellence in client experience, quality, safety, governance, compliance and regulatory readiness.
- Building capable, accountable leaders and fostering an inclusive culture of collaboration, early escalation and continuous improvement.
- Using data, feedback and performance insights to manage risk, improve package utilisation and lift operational and financial performance.
- Partnering across Finance, Governance, People and Culture, ICT, Strategy and Engagement, and external stakeholders to deliver connected, organisation-wide outcomes.

What you'll bring

You'll bring senior-leadership experience in a complex, regulated service environment, with the confidence to lead through reform, growth, and operational change.

Values-led and commercially astute, you'll know how to balance client experience, quality, workforce outcomes and financial performance while building strong relationships and bringing people with you.

- Significant senior leadership experience in home care, community aged care, health, disability or another complex regulated human services environment.
- A proven track record leading large, geographically dispersed services and multidisciplinary teams at scale.
- Strong commercial and operational acumen, with a proven record of improving budgets, productivity, package utilisation and service performance while delivering sustainable client, quality, workforce, growth and financial outcomes.
- Experience strengthening end-to-end service models, systems and processes through reform, growth, or operational change.
- A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to build capable leaders, accountable teams and an inclusive, values-led culture.
- Strong communication, judgement and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence operational, corporate and external partners.
- Relevant qualifications in business, management, health, nursing, allied health, public health or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Current worker screening, police and other statutory clearances required for aged care service delivery, or willingness and ability to obtain them.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:

- Strong knowledge of Support at Home, CHSP, aged care legislation, strengthened Quality Standards, clinical governance, SIRS, consumer rights and provider assurance obligations.
- Postgraduate qualifications in leadership, health administration, business administration, quality or governance.
