LGC Rail is seeking experienced Hi Rail Operators to join our growing team and work on major rail maintenance and infrastructure projects across Western Australia. This is an exciting chance across metro, regional, and FIFO projects, with successful candidates working on rail maintenance and infrastructure projects across WA.
Key responsibilities
- Safely and competently operate Hi Rail and road/rail vehicles
- Operate a range of attachments including Tilt Rotators, Rail Threaders, Undercutters, Tamper Heads, Jibs, Buckets, Octopus and Platypus grabs
- Complete daily pre-start checks and routine equipment maintenance
- Assist with general labouring duties as required
- Follow all rail safety requirements, site procedures and work instructions
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and equipment care
- Complete required documentation and reporting
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and project teams
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company and site requirements
About you
- Excavator and Loader tickets
- Proven experience operating Hi Rail Excavators, preferably Hitachi and Liebherr equipment
- Current HR driver's licence with no restrictions
- White Card
- Previous experience working in a safety-critical environment
- Strong understanding of rail safety protocols
- Ability to undertake manual labour and physically demanding work
