As a Home Care Support Worker, you’ll play a meaningful role in supporting elderly and people living with disability across the Hunter region to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes.

We deliver Government-approved Support at Packages, Department of Veterans’ Affairs services, and support to Private Clients. This is a casual position, with shifts offered based on client needs and your availability. Hours may vary from week to week and are not guaranteed, making this role ideal for someone who values flexibility and variety in their work.

What you’ll be doing

- Providing personalised, in-home support including personal care, meal preparation, light domestic duties, and social or recreational support

- Supporting clients to maintain their independence, routines, and overall wellbeing

- Taking the time to understand each client’s individual needs, preferences, and goals

- Accurately completing care notes and documentation to support continuity of care

- Working collaboratively with the wider care team to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery

- Adhering to all organisational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Must Have:

- Previous experience in home care, aged care, disability support, or a similar role
- A genuine, compassionate approach and a passion for supporting people to live independently

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport

- Good time management,

- A current First Aid Certificate and a clear National Police Check

- Comprehensive Car Insurance

- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays

- Comfortable travelling between client homes across the Hunter region, including (but not limited to) Maitland surrounds, Tea Gardens surrounds, Salamander Bay & Shoal Bay surrounds, and Raymond Terrace surrounds
