Senior Helpers Casey is looking for compassionate, reliable and experienced Home Care & Community Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis supporting male and females across our NDIS and Aged Care services around Cardinia, Casey & Dandenong and surrounding areas.
This role is suited to someone who is confident supporting people with complex health needs and enjoys making a genuine difference in the lives of the people they support.
You will provide a range of personalised in-home and community-based supports, helping participants maintain their independence, wellbeing and dignity.
Your Day to Day
Your day to day is never the same which is great for someone looking for flexibility and diversity in their role. Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal care and assistance with daily living
- Supporting clients with complex health and support needs
- Domestic assistance and household tasks
- Meal preparation
- Community access and participation
- Supporting appointments, shopping and social activities
- Assistance with mobility and transfers, where required
- Supporting individual routines, goals and care plans
- Providing companionship and promoting independence
- Following health, safety, medication and support procedures as required
- Completing accurate progress notes and relevant documentation
- Working collaboratively with families, carers, Care Partners and other members of the care team
- Providing respectful, person-centred support in accordance with each individual's needs and preferences

Essential Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or a related qualification
- Previous experience in disability, aged care, community care or complex support is highly regarded
- Current First Aid and CPR
- National Police Check
- Relevant NDIS/Aged Care screening and clearances as required
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle with insurance, where community transport is required
Additional qualifications or experience in areas such as complex health care, manual handling, PEG feeding, medication support, epilepsy, diabetes, continence care or other specialised support needs will be highly regarded.
Flexible Availability Required
This role requires flexibility across a range of days and times to meet the needs of our clients including:
- Early mornings
- Day shifts
- Evening shifts
- Weekends

Pay: From $43.03 per hour
Expected hours: 2.0 – 20.0 per week
