HSE Advisor - Civil Construction 12-Month Project | FIFO 2:1 | 35% Site Uplift | $130k-$140k + Super We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join a major civil construction project in a remote Western Australian location.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an HSE professional with a strong civil construction background to take ownership of HSE activities across a sizeable project team, working closely with the Project Manager and client representatives.
The Role
You will be the primary HSE representative on site, supporting a team of approximately 20-30 personnel and ensuring the project maintains a high standard of health, safety and environmental compliance.
The project involves significant civil and infrastructure works, including desalination plant construction, excavation, pipeline installation and associated civil works .
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Providing day-to-day HSE support and guidance across the project
- Working closely with the Project Manager and site leadership team
- Managing HSE documentation, reporting, inspections and compliance requirements
- Conducting site inspections, audits, toolbox meetings and safety interactions
- Supporting risk assessments, SWMS and incident investigations
- Maintaining accurate HSE records and project documentation
- Building strong working relationships with the client and other project stakeholders
- Promoting a positive safety culture across the site
- Ensuring project activities comply with relevant legislation,
standards and company requirements
About You To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
- Minimum 2 years' HSE experience within civil construction, with around 4 years' overall industry experience preferred
- A Diploma in Work Health & Safety or equivalent
- Experience working on civil construction or major infrastructure projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent documentation, reporting and administrative capabilities
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and project stakeholders
- A practical, hands-on approach to site-based HSE
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of HSE across the project
- Previous FIFO experience will be highly regarded
