Bridge IT Engineering is seeking experienced Senior ICT Project Managers / Finance Managers to support a large Federal Government Department in Canberra or Sydney. This is a senior project and commercial management opportunity with a strong focus on
ICT financial management, infrastructure running costs, capital expenditure, procurement and commercial strategy . The successful candidate will oversee investment priorities and infrastructure refresh programs while providing strategic advice across complex ICT environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage complex ICT operating and capital budgets, including forecasting, expenditure, accruals and financial reporting
- Provide strategic sourcing, procurement and commercial advice across major ICT initiatives
- Support vendor negotiations, contract renewals and commercial strategy development
- Oversee ICT investment priorities, infrastructure refresh programs and running costs
- Conduct commercial risk assessments and support effective financial governance
- Develop procurement documentation,
sourcing strategies and executive-level reporting
- Work closely with finance, procurement, architecture, business, ICT teams and external vendors
- Provide portfolio and program oversight, including tracking and reporting of budgets and expenditure
- Provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders and executives
To be successful, you will bring:
- Senior-level ICT project and program management experience
- Strong experience managing complex ICT operating and capital budgets
- Demonstrated expertise across financial management, strategic planning, procurement and contract management
- Experience in ICT cost analysis, optimisation and investment planning, ideally within the Public Sector
- Solid commercial experience including vendor negotiations, contract renewals and sourcing strategies
- Experience establishing or operating ICT cost governance and control frameworks
- Strong understanding of infrastructure capital planning, ICT running costs, workforce management and software licensing
- Proven ability to produce high-quality executive reporting and strategic advice
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across commercial, financial and technical environments
