Maitland Hospital is seeking a Locum ED SRMO to support overnight Emergency Department coverage.

This role is ideal for a doctor with recent Emergency Medicine experience who is confident working overnight and managing ED presentations safely within scope.

You will assess patients, support treatment plans, complete clinical documentation, assist with patient flow and elevate concerns appropriately.

Clinical Environment

- Emergency Department SRMO role
- Night shift cover, generally 23:00 – 09:00
- Hospital-based locum position in Maitland
- Supportive ED team environment

Key Duties

- Assess and manage ED presentations




- Support treatment planning and patient flow
- Complete clinical documentation and handover
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately
- Work collaboratively with nursing and medical teams

Requirements

- Current AHPRA Registration
- Recent Emergency Medicine experience at SRMO level
- Robust communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work safely within scope and elevate appropriately
- Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
