About the role
Star Fluid Power is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Analyst to support and improve our procurement, inventory, logistics, and supply chain operations. With an established international manufacturing and supply network, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled Supply Chain Analyst to leverage their analytical and supply chain expertise to enhance operational efficiency across our logistics functions and support the continued growth of the business.
Key responsibilities
- Review purchasing, stock movement, freight, and order fulfilment data to identify trends, supply issues and opportunities to improve the use of resources.
- Use Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets and data analysis tools to analyse procurement, inventory, warehousing, and distribution processes to identify supply chain gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate existing supply chain systems and workflows across the warehouse, administration, and accounting functions, and recommend practical improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory levels,
supplier coordination, delivery schedules, and warehouse processes in line with business growth and customer demand.
- Prepare recommendations for improving purchasing procedures, inventory controls, order processing and the flow of information between suppliers and internal departments.
- Assist with implementing approved process improvements and monitor their effectiveness in improving operational efficiency, stock availability, and order fulfilment.
- Work with the warehouse, administration, and accounting teams to improve coordination of purchasing, shipment tracing, inventory records, supplier invoices, and freight arrangements.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on improved supply chain procedures, systems, and workflows to promote consistent and efficient practices.
About you
- A Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision making skills
- Ability to promptly identify supply chain issues and recommend solutions
- Positive understanding of inventory control, purchasing, freight, and supplier coordination
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications, including Excel, data visualization tools, and ERP (SAP) system
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
