Packweigh designs and manufactures advanced weighing, bagging, and automation systems for producers and manufacturers across Australia. We're growing, and we need an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our production and commissioning team — someone hands-on, safety-conscious, and proud of doing technical work properly.

This is a hands-on role with genuine variety. You'll build and wire panels in our Capalaba workshop, then travel to install and commission that same equipment at customer sites around the country. If you like seeing a job through from build to fully operational, and don't mind being on the road, this role delivers exactly that — plus a vehicle, laptop, and paid travel allowances to go with it.

Your Role Will Include:

- Building and wiring electrical panels for industrial automation systems
- Installing, connecting and testing motors, VSDs, sensors, PLCs, and related equipment
- In office commissioning and fault-finding, including interstate travel
- Working to AS/NZS 3000 and Packweigh's internal electrical standards
- Working alongside our mechanical and controls teams to deliver complete solutions
- Helping the service team with troubleshooting and upgrades when needed

What We're Looking For:





- Licensed QLD Electrical Fitter Mechanic
- Solid background in industrial, automation, or machinery environments
- Minimum 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience required
- Comfortable reading electrical schematics and wiring control panels
- Confident fault-finding and troubleshooting on your own
- Happy to travel regularly (3 nights a month on average with occasional busier stretches depending on project schedules)
- Reliable, detail-focused, and takes pride in your work
- Valid Australian driver's licence
- Must have current Australian work authorisation

Bonus Points For:

- Experience in automation, packaging, weighing or bagging machinery
- Exposure to PLCs such as Allen Bradley, Siemens or Omron
- An interest in growing into control systems, service, or project leadership
