Internal Sales Officer

Location: Homebush surrounds, NSW with onsite parking available

Salary Package: Up to $100K + Super

Role Overview

Enjoy helping customers, spotting sales opportunities and being the reliable person a sales team can count on? Our client is an established Australian supplier of professional technology solutions and are seeking an Internal Sales Officer to join their team based close to Homebush. You will play a central role in supporting sales representatives and territory managers while they are on the road meeting customers and developing business.

From preparing quotations and checking stock availability to coordinating orders and responding to enquiries, your support will help keep opportunities moving and deliver a positive customer experience.

Your customer conversations will also contribute to sales growth. By understanding their needs, recommending suitable products and following up quotations, you will help turn enquiries into orders and strengthen existing relationships.

Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day support to sales representatives and territory managers while they are on the road.
- Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email and online, identifying their needs and recommending suitable products.
- Prepare accurate quotations, confirming pricing, product details,



stock availability and lead times.
- Proactively follow up quotations and open enquiries to convert opportunities into sales.
- Identify opportunities to recommend complementary products and add value to customer orders.
- Make outbound calls to reconnect with customers, discuss relevant products or promotions and generate repeat business.
- Coordinate with customer service, technical and logistics colleagues to progress orders and resolve enquiries.
- Keep customers and territory managers informed of order progress, availability and delivery updates.
- Maintain accurate customer records, quotations and opportunities in the CRM.

Candidate Profile You will bring experience in customer service, internal sales, sales administration or sales support. Experience supporting an external sales team within a wholesale, distribution or technical product environment would be particularly valuable.

A clear and confident communicator, you enjoy building relationships with customers and colleagues. You combine a helpful service approach with commercial awareness, recognising when a customer conversation presents an opportunity to recommend a product,



follow up a quote or generate additional business.You understand the importance of reliable internal support and take ownership of requests, ensuring sales representatives and territory managers have the information they need when they need it. You thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment and can balance customer enquiries, quotations and order administration while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

You are organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities.

Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Excel would be an advantage, along with a willingness to develop your product knowledge.
