Our Client based in Scoresby are seeking an Experienced Inventory Controller to join their Team for an ASAP Start.
This role is critical to ensuring inventory accuracy, efficient stock flow, and operational excellence across the site. You'll play a key role in maintaining inventory integrity, minimising costs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
As an Inventory Controller, you'll be part of a collaborative inventory team responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient stock management within the Distribution Centre (DC). Working closely with warehouse, transport, production, and planning teams, you'll help ensure inventory is accurate, readily available, and aligned with customer demand while contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stocktakes, and investigation of stock discrepancies
- Collaborate with the team to identify root causes of inventory issues and implement effective corrective actions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and service levels
- Manage inventory-related queries and communicate effectively with key stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across internal teams, suppliers, and customers
- Provide support to warehouse operations as required
About You:
- Demonstrated experience (2+ years) in inventory control, warehousing, supply chain operations, or a similar environment
- Solid understanding of inventory systems and best practice inventory management
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred), with exposure to planning processes such as MRP/MRPII viewed favourably
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive willingness to learn
- Effective communication skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a positive attitude and a continuous improvement mindset
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar data analysis tools is an advantage
