OVERVIEW The Lead Business Analyst (LBA) is a senior individual who works with JLL’s global Fortune 500 customers with the goal of improving the overall real estate and facilities management (REFM) operations through technology and process improvement. Working closely with stakeholders, facilitators and partners, the LBA determines project and program requirements and translates them into clear documentation and mockups that guide cost-effective technology implementations. A core responsibility of this role is mentoring and upskilling junior Business Analysts, providing hands-on coaching, structured skills development and career growth support.
The LBA leads and supports all Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) projects, troubleshooting system and data issues while identifying opportunities for process improvement, and brings innovation and best practices to the customer to drive efficiencies. The role collaborates effectively with all levels of leadership within the client REFM organization, serving as a strategic advisor to ensure the customer’s strategic initiatives are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Act as the liaison between the customer REFM stakeholders, the JLL project execution team and the IWMS software vendor.
Participate in all planning sessions often acting on behalf of the customer.
Provide guidance for the customer through decision-making processes regarding cost/benefit, timelines, and operational and change management issues
Responsible for managing the requirements process: collecting, defining, documenting, mockup and approvals.
Responsible for creating documentation for: ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ processes, process

Data gathering templates and management plans
Work with project team to drive the design and review of test cases, process change requests, and manage a project’s scope, acceptance, installation and deployment.
Identify and follow-through on process and functionality improvement initiatives.
Train end users on IWMS functionality and processes.
Education of the Client regarding industry best practices when applicable.
Run data queries to identify data issues and provide recommended solutions.
Work with varying levels within the customer organization to better understand customer needs.
Lead multiple concurrent IWMS projects and workstreams, coordinating across project teams and vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Serve as a strategic advisor to client REFM leadership, shaping technology roadmap and process-improvement priorities.
Own the mentoring and upskilling of junior Business Analysts, providing structured coaching, skills-development plans and career growth support.
Assign and monitor work allocation across the junior Business Analyst team, tracking progress against project commitments and rebalancing assignments as priorities shift.
Review and validate junior Business Analysts’ deliverables for accuracy, consistency and completeness prior to client submission, ensuring adherence to established BA methodology and standards.
Negotiate alignment among competing stakeholder priorities, resolving conflicts and driving consensus on scope, requirements and timelines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BS or BA in related discipline or related experience.
7-8 years of experience in a Business Analyst role, including demonstrated leadership of project teams and mentoring of junior staff
5+ years’ experience leading requirements analysis, documentation and management across multiple concurrent projects.
Experience leading project teams adhering to formal PM processes (PMI, Six Sigma, Agile, Lean, etc.)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Minimum
Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
Able to communicate complex ideas in a simple and friendly manner to non-technical users
Implementation and deployment experience with ARCHIBUS, or similar IWMS application
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio and PowerPoint
Experience in leading group presentations including end user training classes
Preferred
Ability to manage projects and effectively execute project specific deliverables
Working knowledge of ARCHIBUS, TRIRIGA or other IWMS software.
Conceptual to working knowledge of AutoCAD and document management.
Conceptual to working knowledge of Facilities, Real Estate and Asset Management industry and practices.
Conceptual to working knowledge in Crystal Reports, Business Objects or similar reporting software.
