A national organisation is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Brisbane-based legal team and provide strategic advice across a broad portfolio of commercial, property and insurance matters. The permanent role offers a salary of $145-150k + superannuation.

This is a genuinely broad role where you'll work closely with senior stakeholders, support complex negotiations and help manage legal risk across a large and evolving organisation.

The Opportunity

You will be involved in:

✅ Commercial contracts and negotiations

✅ Property, leasing and licensing matters

✅ Procurement and probity advice

✅ Privacy, data protection and intellectual property matters

✅ Corporate governance, compliance and risk management

✅ Insurance-related advice and support

✅ Preparation of complex legal advice, reports and briefing materials

✅ Management of external legal providers where required

About You





You will be an admitted legal practitioner with:

- Solid private practice background or in-house experience across commercial and/or property law
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- The ability to balance legal risk with practical commercial outcomes
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability
- Experience working within complex corporate, government or regulated environments would be well regarded.
- A collaborative and solutions-focused approach
