A leading global firm is hiring a senior transactional lawyer, 5 to 8 PQE, into a new role in its Melbourne legal transformation practice. The role works directly with major corporate and banking clients on complex transactions, helping shape how each matter is structured and delivered.
The role The team is moving from supporting the firm's practice groups to advising clients directly, often on matters without precedent. The successful candidate will determine how each transaction should be structured and delivered, including where technology adds value and where legal judgement is required. The practice is built on the transactional experience lawyers bring to it, and you'll draw on your unique skillset every day.
The matters vary quite a bit, from one client to the next, and you'll often be working out a recent approach while the deal is under way.

You will bring
- 5 to 8 years' post-admission experience in corporate, M&A;, real estate or finance transactions, ideally gained at a top-tier or leading mid-tier firm
- Strong experience managing or supporting complex transactions, from due diligence through to completion
- A view on how legal technology and AI should change transactional work. Training is provided, and prior experience is welcome
