Urbane Recruitment have been engaged by a high-growth Australian fintech to appoint a Legal Counsel into its Sydney team.

This is a broad, genuinely commercial in-house legal role working closely with the GC and wider leadership team. You’ll sit close to the business and be involved in a range of strategic and day-to-day matters, including:

- Commercial and enterprise agreements
- Funding partner and lender relationships
- Regulatory, privacy and compliance matters
- Corporate governance
- Legal operations and the use of AI across the legal function
- General business partnering, complaints and disputes

The role would suit a lawyer coming from a strong corporate/commercial, banking & finance or technology background who is looking to move into, or further develop within, a commercial in-house environment. Ideally you’ll have around 2–3+ years PQE , strong drafting and negotiation skills and the ability to work directly with senior stakeholders across the business.
