Library Operations Supervisor
- Lead the Library Operations team and drive the effective delivery of library IT systems, administration and operational services.
- Max-Term contract until November 2027 with access to Fitness Passport.
- Salary from $105,249.07 to $113,462.23 plus 12% Superannuation.

Reporting to the Libraries Manager, the Library Operations Supervisor leads the Library Operations team and plays a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of library services across the network. This position oversees library technology systems, rostering, procurement, venue hire, facilities maintenance and administrative functions, driving operational excellence and supporting an outstanding customer experience.

About the Role
As the Library Operations Supervisor, you will:
- Lead the Library Operations team, supporting performance, development and the delivery of quality services.
- Manage and optimise the library management system to support productive library operations.
- Oversee library IT systems and hardware, including public computers and WiFi services.
- Liaise with Council's Digital Enterprise Services team to support technology initiatives and system performance.
- Manage operational budgets and ensure resources are effectively allocated to meet service requirements.
- Coordinate efficient and effective library rostering practices.
- Oversee procurement, reconciliation, invoicing, venue hire and facilities maintenance activities.
- Manage key administrative functions that support library services.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of library strategic and business plans.
- Support the collection, analysis and reporting of library operational data.
- Participate in service point shifts, including acting as shift supervisor when required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer service and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role, such as library and information services, technology management, business administration, or equivalent experience.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- First Aid qualifications or willingness to obtain.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a small team.
- Strong understanding of library and organisational IT systems.
- Experience with administrative processes including payroll, timesheets, reconciliation, invoicing and receipting.
- Strong rostering and workforce coordination skills.
- High-level proficiency with library management systems and corporate software applications.
- Confidence in learning and implementing new technologies and processes.
- Excellent customer service, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety principles.

Desirable
- Experience working within Local Government, State Government or a similar environment.
- Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
