Markwell Group is seeking a fully qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our workshop team. You will maintain and repair our light vehicle fleet while developing your capability across construction, earthmoving and crushing equipment. This is a hands-on role for a safety-focused tradesperson who is ready to broaden their skills and work on a varied fleet.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose, service and repair light vehicles to a high standard.
- Inspect, test and maintain vehicle mechanical, electrical and air-conditioning systems.
- Complete preventative maintenance and identify faults before they cause downtime.
- Learn to inspect, service and repair construction, earthmoving and crushing equipment under the guidance of experienced tradespeople.
- Read technical manuals, use diagnostic equipment and accurately record completed work and parts used.
- Maintain a clean, organised workshop and care for tools and equipment.
- Follow company safety, environmental and quality procedures at all times.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
- Fully qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic with a recognised Australian trade qualification.
- Current automotive air-conditioning licence (air-conditioning ticket).
- Willingness and practical aptitude to learn construction, earthmoving and crushing equipment.
- Strong fault-finding skills and sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Commitment to safe work practices, reliability and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Current driver licence.
