Cascade (Australia) Pty Ltd is part of the global Cascade Corporation, our head office is in Portland, Oregon in the USA. In Australia, we have a significant operation located at Darra in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane. We manufacture and supply a broad range of forks, attachments, and accessories to the Materials Handling Market.

We currently have exciting opportunities for a casual Machinist with experience in Fanuc CNC Milling to join our team.

About the role:

In this role you be responsible for the general operations of the CNC machine, including machine set up, operation, modifying existing programmes and creating new programmes as required. Ensuring components are quality controlled, machined correctly and fit for purpose. A four-day work week (Mon-Thurs – 6.00am – 4.00pm).

Overtime rates on Friday’s. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to recommend and develop initiatives that will enhance productivity, efficiency and profitability of operations.

Experience and qualifications required for the role:





- 2-3 years of experience in an engineering environment or similar role

- Experience with engineering drawings

- Experience with CNC Milling Machine or CNC lathe operations

- Experience in 2D programming using Fanuc

- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Commitment to high safety standards

- Commitment to product quality and delivery

- Ability to work as part of a team or independently

- Ability to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines

- Initiative and sound problem-solving skills

- Trade qualification in Engineering (min Cert III)

Desirable:

- Experience with Fanuc systems.
