About The Role A prominent Brisbane firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Forensic Accounting team. This is a genuine career pivot opportunity for an experienced Business Services professional ready to apply their skills in a completely different setting, working across high-profile legal matters including commercial disputes, insurance claims, valuations and investigations.

What You Will Be Doing

- Assessing damages across trade practices disputes, insurance claims, business interruption and defamation actions
- Examining expert reports and assisting in the defence of claims
- Assisting Courts, Counsel and solicitors in understanding damages claims
- Evaluating and preparing evidence for prosecution or defendant cases
- Valuing entities within matrimonial pools
- Investigating the existence and ownership of assets
- Examining straightforward and complex business structures to establish parties' interests
- Liaising directly with clients to receive and discuss information
- Developing technical knowledge and contributing to internal training
- Working alongside Directors on complex technical matters

What We Are Looking For





- Several years of Business Services experience - no forensic background needed
- CPA/CA qualified or working towards
- Strong time management skills to meet Court-driven deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication, given work is used as evidence
- A genuine appetite to learn and grow in a new discipline
