We are looking for a Male Support Worker to provide individual support to a young participant in Andrews Farm.
The role involves building a positive relationship with the participant and supporting him with social interaction, suitable activities and community participation.
About the Role The support will focus on:
- Providing one-on-one support and companionship
- Encouraging social interaction and communication
- Supporting emotional regulation and engagement
- Participating in fun, age-appropriate activities
- Supporting participation in community activities and outings
- Following established routines and support strategies
- Working respectfully with the participant and family
About You We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children
- Previous NDIS or disability support experience is preferred
- Can build valuable rapport with the participant
- Is comfortable supporting a child with disability
- Can follow established routines and support strategies
- Can communicate respectfully with the participant and family
Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- First Aid/CPR
- Australian working rights
- Driver's licence and reliable vehicle, if required for community access
