We’re partnering with a leading Australian organisation undergoing significant investment in AI, automation and business technology to appoint a Manager –

AI & Intelligent Automation.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who can combine technical credibility, people leadership and robust business engagement. You’ll lead a small multidisciplinary team while remaining close to solution design and delivery, helping scale practical AI and automation solutions across the organisation.

The opportunity Working across Technology, Operations, Finance and Risk, you’ll identify opportunities to improve productivity, simplify processes and reduce risk through AI, intelligent automation, workflow and low-code technologies.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Leading and developing a small team of AI and automation specialists
- Taking AI, automation and low-code solutions from concept through to production
- Remaining hands-on across solution design, technical reviews and delivery
- Translating business challenges into practical technology solutions
- Ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and operationally supportable
- Partnering with senior business and technology stakeholders




- Managing external technology partners and vendors
- Driving continuous improvement and adoption of AI and automation across the organisation
- Acting as an escalation point for complex delivery challenges

You’ll bring:

- You’ll ideally be an experienced AI, Intelligent Automation or Technology Enablement leader who still enjoys being close to the technology. Experience leading small technical teams in a player-coach capacity
- Strong enterprise AI, automation, workflow or low-code experience
- Exposure to technologies such as Power Platform, UiPath, OutSystems, AWS Bedrock or other enterprise AI/cloud platforms
- Experience taking technology solutions through to production
- Strong solution design and technical problem-solving capability
- Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills
- Experience working within a regulated enterprise environment
- A practical approach to technology — focused on solving business problems rather than implementing technology for technology’s sake
