Mulford is a trusted Australian supplier to the building industry, and we are looking for a reliable, motivated and hands-on Production Lead Hand to join our fibreglass manufacturing team in Dandenong South.

About the Role

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Lead Hand will oversee day-to-day production activities and provide hands-on leadership to the manufacturing team. You will play a key role in ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, productivity and operational discipline.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working alongside their team, solving problems and finding ways to improve production processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate daily production activities to meet customer demand and delivery schedules
- Lead, support and develop production team members
- Monitor production performance, KPIs and output against targets




- Drive continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives
- Identify and investigate production issues and implement effective corrective actions
- Maintain high standards of workplace safety, housekeeping and operational discipline
- Ensure production processes and procedures are followed consistently
- Support the Plant Manager with day-to-day operational requirements
- Contribute to improved productivity, efficiency and overall operational performance

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or production setting
- Previous experience in a Production Lead Hand, Supervisor, Production Manager or similar leadership role
- Solid leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support and develop team members
- Experience monitoring production KPIs and driving continuous improvement
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- A dependable and punctual approach, with pride in the quality of your work
- A strong commitment to workplace safety
- The physical ability to lift and carry long sheets weighing up to 20 kg
- A current Forklift Licence
- Full working rights in Australia

This is a hands-on manufacturing role in a busy production environment. The successful applicant will be required to follow all workplace health and safety procedures. PPE will be provided, and safety standards will be continuously monitored and maintained.
