Lead clinical quality, operational performance and growth
Quality Health Care is seeking an experienced Manager - Home & Community Care (Clinical) to lead the operational, commercial, clinical, quality and service performance of our Home and Community Care division.
Reporting to the CEO, this senior leadership role combines business management with clinical governance. You will lead Care Coordinators, Support Workers and designated clinical staff while providing professional oversight of complex care, clinical risk, workforce capability and evidence-based practice.
The role has a strong focus on service growth, customer acquisition, margin management, workforce supply and the development of new opportunities.
What you will be responsible for
- Lead day-to-day Home and Community Care operations and provide leadership to Care Coordinators, Support Workers and designated clinical staff.
- Monitor client activity, service hours, workforce utilisation and operational performance.
- Ensure services are safe, responsive, reliable and financially sustainable.
- Lead the clinical governance framework and ensure clinical services operate within professional scope of practice.
- Oversee complex clinical assessments, care plans, risk plans and escalation pathways.
- Review significant clinical incidents, adverse events and emerging clinical risks.
- Monitor trends including medication incidents, falls, wounds, pressure injuries, infection, deterioration and hospitalisation.
- Establish clinical competency frameworks and oversee competency assessment, training and supervision.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, professional standards, NDIS Practice Standards, Aged Care Quality Standards where relevant, funding requirements and organisational policy.
- Monitor revenue, labour costs, utilisation and service margins.
- Build referral and funding-body relationships and support tenders, proposals and new service development.
- Lead,
coach and develop Care Coordinators and support worker teams.
About you
You will ideally bring
- At least 5 years' experience as a Clinical Care Manager, Clinical Coordinator, Care Manager or in a similar senior role.
- A strong background in Home Care, Community Services or a similar care setting.
- A record of managing day-to-day operations in a care organisation.
- A solid understanding of the Aged Care and NDIS environments.
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA, or unrestricted Allied Health Professional registration with AHPRA.
- Substantial experience in community health, disability, aged care, community nursing or a related setting.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and people management experience.
- Robust knowledge of clinical governance, risk management and complex care.
- Commercial and financial awareness.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A current driver licence.
Postgraduate qualifications in healthcare management, clinical governance, nursing, public health or business will be well regarded, as will experience in accreditation, audit preparation, service growth and divisional budget or performance reporting.
Mandatory requirements
- Current Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional AHPRA registration without any working conditions.
- Valid National Police Check (issued within the last 6 months).
- Full NSW driver's license
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to).
- Valid Working with Children Check.
- Capacity to meet the physical requirements of the role, including driving and remaining in a seated position to perform tasks.
- Full rights to work in Australia.
