About the role The Marketing Officer is responsible for planning and briefing marketing and media activity that supports Finer Power Transmissions' brand, distributor communications, and product promotion. This role prepares clear briefs for the Graphic Designer, responds to marketing and design requests from the sales team on behalf of distributors, and coordinates the production and distribution of resulting materials. There is also scope for influencing the company's digital marketing strategy.

The role works closely with the Managing Director, Graphic Designer, the National Sales Manager and Business Development team, and the Purchasing team to ensure marketing and media output, and new product content, is aligned with sales priorities and distributor needs.

Key responsibilities

- Write clear, actionable briefs for social media post preparation for the Graphic Designer
- Write briefs for print media and digital media designs for the Graphic Designer
- Prepare briefs and collate content for new product technical pages, cataloguing, and product launches
- Work with the Purchasing team on new product material development and catalogue management, sourcing product information, specifications, and images as needed
- Review and provide feedback on design work before release, checking against the original brief and brand guidelines
- Respond to marketing design and media requests raised by the sales team on behalf of distributors
- Assess each request and either prepare a brief for the Graphic Designer or manage production and distribution of the resulting media directly, as appropriate
- Track requests through to completion,



keeping the requesting salesperson or distributor informed of progress and timelines
- Coordinate the production and distribution of catalogues, flyers, technical pages, and promotional materials once designed
- Liaise with external suppliers, such as printers, where required to produce finished materials

Working Hours

- Flexible with following options onsite (Dandenong):
- Monday-Friday 10am-2pm (20hrs per week & additional hours when required)
- Monday-Wednesday-Friday 8.30am-5pm (24hrs per week & additional hours/day when required)
- NB. Hybrid working conditions may be considered after 6-Months (subject to individuals skills, connection and understanding of the company and role)

About you

- Proven experience in a marketing, communications, or marketing coordination role
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear, detailed creative briefs
- Good project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple briefs and requests at once
- Comfortable working with digital, social media, and print production processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- General understanding of navigating Content Management Systems (CMS) for websites
- Clear and exact communicator, particularly when writing briefs for the Graphic Designer
- Responsive to sales and distributor requests, balancing multiple priorities at once
- Well organised, able to track briefs and requests through to completion
- Collaborative, working closely with the Graphic Designer, Sales, Business Development, and Purchasing
- Knowledge and understanding of digital marketing strategies (e.g. SEO, etc)
