Plenty of senior doctors reach a point where they want to shape how care is delivered, not only deliver it themselves. This role is built for that moment.

Telemed is a telehealth practice helping Australians get on top of their metabolic health, body composition, recovery and healthy ageing, guided by doctors and pathology. We're growing, and now need a Clinical Director to own our clinical standards and lead the doctors who deliver them.

What your week looks like

Most of your time goes into leadership: reviewing prescribing standards, mentoring doctors, running clinical review meetings, and working with our operations and product teams on new services.

If you enjoy clinical work, you can take on 5–10 additional hours, paid on top of your salary.

What you'll lead

- Clinical governance. The standards, clinical risk, incident management, audit and quality, within governing regulatory frameworks.
- The medical team. Lead, develop and performance-manage our doctors and clinicians.
- Model of care. Refine the protocols and pathways behind our programmes, from assessment to ongoing review.
- Evidence and safety. Decide what belongs in our care model, with evidence and patient safety as the filter.
- Executive partnership. Work with operations, technology, patient experience and growth, making sure clinical judgement shapes business decisions.




- Clinical culture. Embed peer review, education and continuous improvement across the team.

Is this you? You hold unrestricted AHPRA registration and a specialist fellowship, whether that's general practice, rural medicine, sports and exercise medicine, physician training or similar.

You've led something before: a practice, a department, a clinical committee or a team of doctors. You know Australian prescribing and skilled standards well enough to keep a growing organisation safe.

Bonus points if you bring:

- An interest in preventive, metabolic or musculoskeletal medicine
- Telehealth experience
- Time in a startup or fast-growing business

We care more about leadership ability and judgement than ticking every box.

The package

- $285,000 base salary + superannuation
- Optional extra consulting and revenue: 5–10 hours per week paid on top
- Equity pathway via ESOP plan
- Fully remote and flexible, with a formal salary review at 12 months
