Kincaid Medical & Dental Centre is a busy and growing general practice in Wagga Wagga, and we are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our team.

About the role

As one of the first points of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and qualified experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming and assisting patients at reception
- Answering and managing a high volume of telephone enquiries
- Booking and managing patient appointments
- Processing payments and managing patient accounts
- Responding to patient enquiries in person, over the phone and via email
- Processing referrals, results, medical certificates and other administrative requests
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient information
- Liaising with doctors, nurses and other members of the clinical team
- Supporting the wider administration team with day-to-day practice operations
- Following practice policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the practice

About you

We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoys helping people
- Professional and confident when communicating with patients and medical staff
- Highly organised and able to prioritise in a busy environment




- Calm and capable of handling challenging or sensitive situations
- Reliable, punctual and willing to be part of a team
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Someone who takes initiative and doesn't always need to be asked what needs to be done

Previous medical reception experience is highly regarded,however, we are also open to applicants with strong customer service or administration experience who are looking to establish a career in medical administration.
