Ltd is an automotive business based in Sherwood, Queensland, providing vehicle dismantling, automotive repair and automotive parts services. We are currently seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic (General) to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for inspecting and assessing vehicles, diagnosing mechanical faults, dismantling vehicles and assessing mechanical components for repair, reuse or resale.

Benefits Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications, skills and relevant industry experience. Task &

responsibilities Inspect vehicles and assess their overall mechanical condition. Diagnose faults in engines and other mechanical components. Safely dismantle vehicles and remove engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and braking components.

Inspect, test and assess removed mechanical components to identify reusable, damaged or defective parts. Repair or recondition mechanical components where required. Use mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues.

Test repaired or reconditioned components to ensure appropriate operation. Prepare suitable automotive components for reuse or resale. Maintain accurate records relating to vehicles, components and parts.

Maintain a clean and safe workshop setting and comply with workplace health and safety requirements. Qualification &

experience The successful applicant will have: A relevant qualification in Automotive Mechanics, Automotive Mechanical Technology or an equivalent automotive mechanical qualification.



Previous practical experience working as a Motor Mechanic or in a similar automotive mechanical role. Sound knowledge of engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and braking systems.

Experience diagnosing mechanical faults and assessing vehicle components. Ability to safely dismantle vehicles and remove mechanical components.

Experience using mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to assess whether automotive components are suitable for repair, reconditioning, reuse or replacement. Good attention to detail and commitment to workplace health and safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team. Previous experience within a vehicle dismantling, automotive parts or wrecking environment will be highly regarded.
