About the Role
We are seeking empathetic, reliable, and active NDIS Program - Disability Support Workers to support participants living across the Southern, Western, and Northern suburbs of Adelaide. Working directly in participants' homes and local communities, you will deliver personal care, facilitate community access, and support individuals in achieving their daily goals. This flexible casual role offers competitive pay rates and allows you to choose shifts that suit your availability across short shifts, long shifts, overnights, or weekend work.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal & Daily Support: Provide respectful personal hygiene assistance (showering, grooming, toileting), safely execute transfers using mobility equipment (hoists,
slide sheets), and administer prescribed medications.
- Household Assistance: Help participants prepare nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs, assist with general household cleaning, laundry, and daily maintenance.
- Community Inclusion & Transport: Safely transport participants to appointments, recreational activities, and social outings using your reliable, insured vehicle.
- Documentation & Safety: Write accurate, objective case notes within 24 hours of completing shifts, report incidents or health changes, and follow individual support plans.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care), Community Services, or equivalent experience.
- Mandatory Training Modules: Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation, Supporting Effective Communication, Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals, and New Worker NDIS Induction modules.
- Certifications: Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates, up-to-date Manual Handling, and Infection Control training.
- Clearances & Vehicle: Current Australian Driver’s Licence, access to a registered and comprehensively insured vehicle, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and WWCC.
- Attributes: Strong empathetic communication skills, flexibility to adapt to changing routines, commitment to participant rights, and a smart device to use rostering applications.
Pay: $36.08 – $44.76 per hour Work Location: On the road
