We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Multiskilled Loader Operator to join our Civil Operations team based at Calen Depot. This is an excellent prospect for an experienced operator who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and can confidently operate loaders while contributing to a variety of civil construction and maintenance activities.

About This Opportunity As a Multiskilled Loader Operator, you will undertake loader operations, truck driving and labouring duties associated with the maintenance and construction of roads, drainage assets and other civil infrastructure throughout the Mackay region.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Operating loaders and other civil construction plant and equipment.
- Undertaking earthworks, drainage, pipelaying, concrete and road maintenance activities.
- Performing labouring duties associated with civil construction projects.
- Conducting daily plant inspections and basic maintenance checks.
- Assisting with traffic management activities on worksites.
- Working collaboratively as part of a high-performing field operations team.
- Maintaining a strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills To be successful in this role,
you will have:
- Current General Construction Safety (White Card).
- Current Queensland Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence or interstate equivalent, or the ability to obtain within six (6) months.
- Demonstrated experience operating a loader in a civil construction, roads maintenance, local government or similar setting.
- Current certificate of competency, ticket or verified competency for loader operations.
- Experience operating road construction plant and equipment.
- Current Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) qualification or the ability to obtain within twelve (12) months.
- Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and quality workmanship.
- Ability to undertake manual labouring tasks in an outdoor environment.
Highly Regarded
- Competencies or experience operating additional civil construction plant including:
- Backhoe
- Skid Steer
- Roller
- Certificate III in Civil Construction.
- Experience in road, drainage or civil infrastructure maintenance.
