National Events Manager

About the role

As National Events Manager, you will lead the strategy, planning and delivery of a diverse national events portfolio.

You will

- Lead major advocacy, fundraising and donor stewardship events
- Deliver events including the Summit, Kids in the House, Gala Balls, One Ride and One Walk




- Manage event budgets, forecasts, invoices and financial reporting
- Negotiate with venues, suppliers and event partners
- Identify partnership and pro bono opportunities
- Manage event risks, contracts and operational requirements
- Work with internal teams, volunteers and committees to deliver successful events
- Provide strategic advice to the Executive team on event-related matters
- Ensure consistent communication and coordination across stakeholders
- Deliver exceptional experiences for attendees, donors, volunteers and supporters

Qualifications & experience

You will bring:
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, public and multi-site events
- Strong project management, planning and logistics capability
- Experience managing event budgets, financial reporting and supplier contracts
- Strong negotiation and commercial decision-making skills
- More than 10 years’ experience in event management preferred
- Experience coordinating teams, suppliers, volunteers and committees
- Outstanding communication and relationship-management skills
- A highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused approach
- A current Australian driver’s licence

Experience in fundraising, advocacy, donor stewardship or not-for-profit events will be highly regarded.
