Construction Distribution Australia

Brisbane

CDA | National role | Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Perth The opportunity

We are building a national parts operation to support a growing machinery population across Australia. This is a hands-on leadership role with the scope to shape the network: what we stock, where we stock it, how quickly we supply it, and how we support dealers and customers after a machine is sold.

You will lead parts across our four distribution centres in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and work closely with our regional dealer network, service teams and equipment suppliers. The business is investing in a larger Australian parts holding and a more disciplined approach to forecasting, availability and dealer support. We need someone who can turn that investment into reliable supply and a strong, profitable parts business.

What you will own

- Set and deliver the national parts strategy, operating plan, budget and performance measures.
- Lead and develop the parts team across our distribution centres, establishing clear accountability, practical processes and strong branch support.
- Build the right stock profile for the Australian machine population, including maintenance, wear, critical and vehicle-off-road parts. Set stocking levels using machine population, usage, lead times and actual demand.
- Manage inventory across the network: availability, fill rate, backorders, stock transfers, obsolescence, slow-moving stock and working capital.
- Work with equipment manufacturers and suppliers on forecasting, ordering, pricing inputs, supply issues, consignment arrangements and continuous improvement. Make the commercial and operational responsibilities clear.
- Improve dealer parts access and responsiveness,

including clear escalation for urgent customer-down situations.
- Partner with service, product and sales leaders so machine launches, new applications and major fleet deployments have the parts support they need from day one.
- Build accurate reporting and review routines. Use data to make decisions and hold the team and suppliers accountable for outcomes.
- Grow parts sales through stronger customer and dealer relationships, consistent pricing discipline and better availability.

What success looks like Customers and technicians can get the right parts when they need them. Dealers know who to call and receive transparent answers. Stock investment follows real demand, urgent backorders are actively resolved, and our parts capability grows with the machine population. You will have built a capable national team and a parts operation that customers trust.

What you bring

Essential

- Senior parts leadership experience within construction equipment, earthmoving, agricultural machinery, mining equipment or another closely related mobile machinery sector. Direct machinery parts experience is essential; experience only in unrelated industries will not meet the requirements of this role.
- Sound technical understanding of machinery parts, service needs,

parts catalogues and the consequences of a machine being out of service.
- Proven experience managing multiple sites or a dealer parts network, including people leadership and commercial accountability.
- Strong inventory planning skills: interpreting demand, setting stock levels and balancing availability with working capital.
- The ability to work directly with an OEM or major supplier, resolve supply problems and turn broad plans into daily execution.
- Confidence with parts systems and data, and the judgement to challenge assumptions when the numbers or customer experience do not support them.
- A practical, direct leadership style and a willingness to travel across Australia.

Highly regarded
- Experience building or reshaping a national parts operation during rapid growth.
- Experience with imported machinery, long international lead times, consignment stock or OEM and dealer network agreements.
- Exposure to both diesel and battery electric equipment.

Why join us This is an opportunity to build something substantial, with the backing of an established Australian machinery group and a growing national dealer network. You will have a direct line to senior leadership, genuine influence over investment and operating decisions, and the ability to see the results in machine uptime, dealer confidence and customer retention.

Location: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Perth. National travel required.

To apply: Send your CV and a brief note outlining the machinery parts operations you have led, the size of the network or inventory under your responsibility, and a measurable improvement you delivered.
