Are you an experienced Support Coordinator who enjoys solving problems, advocating for participants and helping people navigate the NDIS?
AASS is looking for a Specialist Support Coordinator and Support Coordinator to join our established Support Coordination team in South West Sydney.
About AASS
Autism Advisory and Support Service (AASS) is a not-for-profit organisation supporting people with Autism and other disabilities and their families.
Our multidisciplinary team includes Support Coordinators, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and other allied health professionals. We are practical, responsive and genuinely committed to achieving positive outcomes for the people and families we support.
About the Role
Depending on your qualifications and experience, you may work as a Specialist Support Coordinator, Support Coordinator, or across both levels of support.
You will work directly with NDIS participants and their families to help them understand and implement their NDIS plans, connect with appropriate services and supports, build capacity and navigate challenges within the NDIS and broader service systems.
For Specialist Support Coordination, you will work with participants who have more complex support environments and require a higher level of assistance to address barriers, coordinate services and establish sustainable supports.
This is a participant-focused role with no Team Leader or staff management responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include
- Supporting participants to understand and implement their NDIS plans
- Connecting participants with appropriate providers,
mainstream services and community supports
- Coordinating services across complex support environments

About you
You'll bring
- Strong knowledge of the NDIS, mainstream and community service systems
- Experience delivering Support Coordination (Level 2) services to NDIS participants
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Exceptional organisational and documentation skills
- Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, crisis response, interagency collaboration and navigating mainstream service systems.
- Preferably experience delivering NDIS Specialist Support Coordination (Level 3)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Social Work, Nursing (Mental Health), Human Services, Counselling, Psychology or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Confidence managing complex participant situations and competing priorities
- A commitment to person-centred, human rights-based practice
You'll also hold (or be willing to obtain):
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Australian Driver Licence and access to a fully insured vehicle
- Australian working rights
