About CoAbility

Since 2017, CoAbility has been a leader in values-led, independent Support Coordination. As a proudly women- and queer-owned provider, we specialise in delivering safe, affirming, and culturally competent support to NDIS participants. We are looking for experienced professionals who share our commitment to participant-led support.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Support Coordinator to take on an established Level 2 and Level 3 caseload in the Bendigo/Goldfields region. You'll step in, build trust and ensure continuity of support from day one. The role is primarily work from home, with occasional face-to-face meetings with participants and stakeholders, so we are looking for candidates based in the Bendigo/Goldfields region.

This is not an entry-level position. It requires deep working knowledge of the NDIS and Support Coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Turning plans into progress: You'll take the lead on complex plans, cutting through the NDIS jargon so funding turns into real-life progress, and participants reach the goals that actually matter to them.
- Choice and self-direction: You'll keep participants in the driver's seat, giving them the transparent information they need to make informed decisions and exercise genuine control over their supports.
- Building capacity: You'll work alongside participants to build their skills and confidence in managing their own supports, so they become more independent and less reliant on coordination over time.
- Connecting and negotiating: You'll link participants with high-quality providers and negotiate service agreements that put the participant first.
- Reporting with purpose: You'll write progress reports that clearly show goal attainment,

giving the NDIA the evidence it needs to support the funding and supports participants require into the future.

About You

You're an experienced Support Coordinator who knows the NDIS well and genuinely cares about helping participants get the most out of their plans. You build trust easily with participants, families and providers, and you bring an affirming, respectful approach to your work with LGBTQIA+, First Nations and CALD communities. You'll work independently from home and step straight into an established caseload, so you're a natural self-starter who is motivated, organised, and comfortable structuring your own day. You don't wait for work to come to you; you take initiative, follow things up and keep your participants' plans moving. You also know when to reach out for help, and you welcome support and supervision as part of your practice.

What you'll need

- At least 2 years' experience delivering NDIS Support Coordination
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Allied Health or a related field
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
- A valid Victorian Driver's Licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
- A private home office space with a reliable internet connection, and your own laptop and mobile phone (supported by a BYOD allowance)

Why join CoAbility?

At CoAbility, you can focus on what you do best. We're a boutique, independent team,

and because we don't provide competing NDIS services such as Plan Management or Support Work, there's no conflict of interest. Your advice to participants is always about what's right for them, nothing else. We value experienced practitioners and pay above award to reflect that. You'll have flexible hours and the freedom to work from home, along with a Bring Your Own Device allowance to support your setup. We handle intake and compliance behind the scenes, so you can focus on the work that matters, with regular supervision and genuine support from a team that knows Support Coordination inside out.

As a proudly women- and queer-owned business, we've built a workplace where affirming practice isn't a policy; it's who we are.

How to Apply

CoAbility values attention to detail and local knowledge. To be considered, your application must include a cover letter that specifies:

1. How you structure your week and stay on top of a caseload when working independently from home.
2. One specific community resource or network that you frequently utilise to assist participants in meeting their goals.

Applicants should include a cover letter addressing the attributes and skills listed in the Position Description with a current resume. Only applications with both a cover letter and a resume will be considered. We review applications regularly, so don’t hesitate to apply. However, we only contact applicants selected for interview.

Our workforce is as diverse as the communities we serve. We warmly encourage applications from First Nations people, LGBTQIA+ people, people with disability, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, of any faith or gender identity.

Shortlisting may begin before the closing date. Only those applicants shortlisted will be contacted.
