Based from any of our Australian offices nationwide, as our Network Planning Leader, ANZ, you'll provide strategic leadership across network planning, power systems and grid integration, helping utilities, developers, government agencies and major energy clients solve complex challenges associated with transmission, distribution, renewable energy and storage projects.
This is an opportunity to combine technical leadership, client engagement, project delivery and team development while influencing the future direction of one of the region's most critical industries.
How you'll make a difference
- Lead AECOM's Network Planning capability across Australia and New Zealand.
- Partner with major utilities, network operators, renewable energy developers and government stakeholders on strategic planning initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership across transmission and distribution planning, power system studies and grid integration projects.
- Help shape long-term network investment strategies that support decarbonisation and energy security objectives.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering complex power systems and network planning projects.
- Build and strengthen trusted client relationships across key energy markets.
- Support business growth through market engagement, thought leadership and work-winning activities.
- Mentor and develop technical leaders while building capability across the wider Energy business.
- Collaborate with regional and global experts to bring innovative solutions to clients.
- Drive technical excellence, quality and project outcomes across the Network Planning practice.
What we're looking for You will be recognised within the energy industry for your technical expertise, leadership capability and ability to influence outcomes across complex stakeholder environments.
You'll likely bring
- Significant experience within power systems, transmission and distribution planning, network strategy or grid integration.
- Strong understanding of electricity networks, energy markets and the challenges associated with the energy transition.
- Experience working with utilities, regulators, renewable energy developers or major infrastructure clients.
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering large-scale technical projects.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to identify and grow strategic client opportunities.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
- Be based from any of our offices throughout Australia
