We are seeking a caring, patient and reliablePersonal Care Workerto live onsite and provide in-home support and companionship for an elderly person living with dementia.
The role is focused on helping maintain a safe, comfortable and independent home workplace, while providing respectful and compassionate day-to-day assistance.
Key responsibilities
Providing companionship, reassurance and dementia-appropriate support
Assisting with personal care, dressing and daily routines as required
Preparing meals and assisting with household activities
Medication prompting and supporting established care routines
Accompanying the client to appointments, shopping and occasional outings
Monitoring general wellbeing and communicating any concerns to the family
Maintaining a safe and tidy home environment
Providing assistance overnight when reasonably required
About you
Warm, trustworthy, calm and genuinely enjoys supporting older people
Previous experience in aged care or dementia care is strongly preferred
Relevant aged-care qualifications, First Aid/CPR, police check and references are highly regarded
Live onsite with private accommodation provided as part of the arrangement
