About the role
This role would suit a psychologist who enjoys working with children, adolescents and their families and values the flexibility and collaborative environment of a multidisciplinary private practice. You will provide psychological assessment and intervention for children and young people aged 0–21 years with a variety of developmental, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide psychological assessment and intervention for children and young people aged 0–21 years with a variety of developmental, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs
- Develop and deliver client-centred, family-focused and evidence-based interventions
- Support children and young people with areas such as emotional regulation, anxiety, behaviour, social and emotional development, executive functioning and participation in everyday life
- Complete relevant assessments, reports, progress notes and other clinical documentation
- Develop appropriate treatment plans and goals in collaboration with clients and their families
- Collaborate effectively with parents and carers, educators, medical professionals and other allied health practitioners
- Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration and case discussions where appropriate
- Work across clinic and community settings, with flexibility in scheduling and service delivery
- Maintain professional registration, continuing professional development and all relevant ethical and professional obligations
- Arrange and maintain clinical supervision with an appropriately qualified psychologist/supervisor in accordance with professional and registration requirements
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology recognised for registration in Australia
- Current general registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
- Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Experience working with children, adolescents and families is desirable
- Experience working with neurodivergent children and young people is highly regarded
- Strong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
