Through our diverse portfolio, data-led decision-making, and nationwide development pipeline, we do things differently.We are Vicinity.Role purposeWe’re looking for a commercially minded and proactive Mall Leasing Business Development Executive to join our Mall Leasing team.This is a true business development role where you’ll be responsible for identifying new retailers, brands and concepts and bringing them into Vicinity’s shopping centres through pop-up stores, kiosks, activations and other short-term leasing opportunities.You’ll actively build your pipeline through prospecting, cold calling, networking, market visits, expos and your own industry connections. From identifying an opportunity through to negotiation and close, you’ll take ownership of the relationship and work with our centre teams to deliver the right commercial outcome.Importantly, it’s not just about filling space. You’ll help curate the right mix of retailers and experiences for each centre, improving presentation, strengthening the customer experience and identifying emerging brands that could ultimately become permanent Vicinity retailers.What you’ll be doingProactively identify and secure new retailers, brands and business opportunitiesBuild and manage a strong sales pipeline across your portfolio of shopping centresProspect through cold calling, networking, centre visits, competitive market research and industry eventsNegotiate and close short-term leasing and brand activation opportunitiesDrive growth in mall leasing revenue, occupancy and site ratesDevelop relationships with new, existing, national and emerging retailersIdentify successful pop-up retailers with potential to transition into permanent leasing opportunitiesPartner with Centre Management, Leasing, Marketing and other internal teams to deliver the right retail mix and customer experienceMonitor market trends,



new concepts and emerging brands to uncover future opportunitiesManage CRM activity, pipeline reporting and forecasting through SalesforceEnsure activations and retailers meet presentation, operational and compliance standardsWhat will you bring?We’re looking for someone who enjoys the hunt as much as the close. You’ll be comfortable approaching new businesses, building relationships from scratch and turning conversations into commercial opportunities.Ideally, you’ll bring:2+ years’ experience in business development, sales or a commercially focused roleA demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales and revenue targetsConfidence with prospecting, cold calling, negotiation and closing dealsStrong relationship-building and stakeholder management skillsCommercial and financial acumen, including exposure to budgets, targets and forecastingAn interest in retail, brands, consumer trends and the changing retail landscapeStrong organisation and pipeline management skillsExperience using a CRM such as SalesforceA collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across multiple internal teamsExperience within retail, shopping centres, property, media, activations or commercial leasing would be advantageous, but we’re equally interested in strong business development professionals from other industries who can demonstrate the right commercial mindset and ability to build new business.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES (who you are)You consistently demonstrate and role model the behaviours that bring the Vicinity values to life:Respect:We listen to and acknowledge each other's viewsWe have difficult conversations with careIntegrity:We back our words with the right actionsWe do the right thing,
