You'll visit customer warehouses across Sydney Metro and NSW to inspect and audit pallet racking against Australian Standard AS 4084 and WHS requirements. Back in the office, you'll turn your findings into explicit written reports and quotes for any repairs.
No two days are quite the same. You'll be on the road meeting customers some days and working on reports and scheduling on others, and you'll have the independence to manage your own workload.
Key responsibilities
- Visiting customer sites for scheduled pallet racking audits
- Inspecting and checking of racking condition, damage, rated loads, configuration and compliance
- Recording findings on mobile devices and writing detailed inspection reports
- Preparing quotes for repairs and corrective work
- Scheduling audits to meet customer demand and compliance deadlines
- Building strong, professional relationships with customers
- Keeping up to date with Australian Standards and WHS requirements for racking safety
Skills/Qualifications Required
- A current NSW driver's license (essential)
- A sharp eye for detail and strong observation skills
- Clear verbal and written communication
- The ability to work on your own,
manage your time and travel to customer sites
- Confidence with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and mobile reporting apps
Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications
- Experience in pallet racking, warehouse operations or a similar industrial setting
- Experience in inspection, compliance auditing or safety is highly regarded but not essential
