This is a permanent job with guaranteed hours. It's not a casual or on-call pool and it's not a handful of leftover shifts. You'll be based at one collection centre, so you'll get to know your team, your patients and the doctors you work with. Your regular days are agreed with you in writing before you start, so you can plan your life around them.

What you'll do

- Collect blood and other specimens from patients of all ages, safely and accurately
- Make sure patients are correctly identified and every specimen is labelled and documented properly
- Look after the care, storage and processing of specimens so they reach the lab in good condition - Handle the paperwork and clerical tasks that keep your centre running
- Give patients a calm, friendly and professional experience, in person and on the phone

What you'll bring

- A Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection, or relevant collection experience
- Great attention to detail, especially with patient identification
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Confidence working on your own when the centre needs it
- Valuable time management and basic computer skills
- A current driver's licence
- The right to work in Australia
