St John of God Midland Public Hospital we provide a comprehensive range of services including emergency medicine, critical care, day chemotherapy, paediatric care, aged and stroke care, maternity and general surgery.

Our 307-bed public hospital is operated under a public-private partnership between the State Government and St John of God Health Care.

Our Services includewide range of public health care services for people in Midland and surrounding communities. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, public maternity care, Aboriginal pregnancy and maternity support through Moort Boojari Mia, acute mental health treatment and medical and surgical care.

Your role

We have permanent part-time and casual opportunities for Patient Food Services Attendants to join our team.

As our kitchen operations run 7 days a week, to be considered for this role you will need to have availability to be rostered on weekdays and weekends for morning and afternoon shifts.

You will participate as a team member across all areas of the Catering Department and contribute as required in the prompt & timely delivery of patient meals. This includes the production and service of patient meals, clearing patient trays, cleaning, general kitchen duties and movement of food stocks.

Your skills and experience

You will have customer service and industrial food handling skills experience including hygiene standards and knowledge of safe Housekeeping, Safe Manual Handling Techniques and Safe Chemical Use.

To succeed you will have organisation skills, with the ability to set priorities and meet multiple deadlines and a high level of customer service skills including flexibility, tact and diplomacy.



You will have interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to individuals and groups including senior management, caregivers, external professional service providers, our clients and the public.

We can offer you

- Salary: $63,180 to $65,435AUD per anum ( pro rata for part time), plus 12% superannuation
- Casual hourly rate: $39.83 to $41.26 p/h, plus 12% superannuation
