Our client is looking for a payroll specialist with proven experience in working across different awards and delivering within on a temporary basis
Job tasks and responsibilities
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the following:
- End of Financial Year
- Interpretation and explanation of all reportable and non-reportable payment summary figures
- Awareness and understanding of organisational taxation status and its implications.
- Awareness and understanding of superannuation maximum contribution base and concessional contributions caps.
- Assistance in regard to calculating and processing backpays and overpayments, including overarching coordination of relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure processes facilitate the integrity of the Payroll System, Personnel Information and related data is maintained against relevant source documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory and statutory requirements and the company policies and procedures related to payroll production, including conducting audits as required.
- Reviewing and testing systems upon application of current legislation, as well as payroll software upgrades.
- Review and analyse payroll processes and procedures
- Contribute to process improvement
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in working across different awards
- understanding of termination/redundancy payment calculations
