**About the role
Permanent part time opportunity to provide advanced level musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis, multidisciplinary case management and clinical consultancy for patients with complex musculoskeletal conditions referred to Specialist Outpatient services (Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Maxillofacial) as part of the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Screening Clinics and Multidisciplinary Service, Physiotherapy Department Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Provide daily specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapy services in the independent assessment, diagnosis, management and case management of clients referred to Orthopaedic, Neurosurgical (spinal) and Maxillo-Facial specialist outpatient clinics utilising expert physiotherapy clinical knowledge, skills and clinical reasoning.
Independently refer for diagnostic imaging procedures as required to support patient assessment and case management.
Provide authoritative clinical counsel to stakeholders at facility and health service level regarding clinical care and service matters relating to the non-surgical management of musculoskeletal conditions. Act as a state-wide resource for clinical advice and consultation concerning screening services and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, actively contributing to local, inter-HHS, state-wide and national collaboratives, projects and networks to facilitate service benchmarking, review and development.
Provide clinical leadership in working cooperatively with and engaging in effective communications with clinical service providers, service managers,
Team Leaders and patients to facilitate early access to the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Screening Clinics and Multidisciplinary Service and to support effective service delivery, clinical outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
